Raised in the south and living in Boston, I apply elements of gracious, timeless tradition with a nod to the architecture of every project. Most interested in lasting design, the process is focused more on a traditional base of elements: crown moulding, paint and lighting which will be relevant beyond trends of tomorrow. Drawn to the dramatic, each room should have at least one piece of interesting provenance or an element that delights with unexpected scale, context or color. Along with design I have a passion for nature and conservation, and currently study herbology and aromatherapy. With a focus on preservation, many projects include mix of vintage and antiques with newly purchased furniture. I travel yearly to New Orleans and Savannah to source vintage finds which mix beautifully with modern and contemporary pieces.
Full scale residential projects include renovation and historic preservation of brownstones in Boston along with roof deck garden design. I also take on smaller scale projects whether it is a room design or ‘chic-up’ as I say, when a room needs a fresh eye for new pillows, accessories to inject new life into the space. I choose not to be on social media but welcome you to use the contact form if you would like to be in touch.
For renovation projects I have a full team of contractors and artisans who I have collaborated with for years. I provide full kitchen and bathroom renovation as well as detailed decorative work of custom furniture, wallpaper and restoration.

design advice: when coming up with a design concept consider if you would love the space if know one else but you would ever see it. A great thing about design is that it makes you get acquainted with yourself. see what makes your hart leap, what makes you feel expansive. Also consider why you want to do something? if you are just itching for a change, try buying a new dress before you go renovating the whole house
design element: lighting and paint colors that compliment and beautify skin tones (your home should make you look good!)
favorite book: I read a new book every week or so but Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier is up there as a favorite. “Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again” still gives me the chills
It’s an opportunity and great luxury in many ways to be able to design spaces where people will experience their lives. This is a great responsibility as I believe that your surroundings greatly affect your mindset and the way you live in your house affects how you live outside of it. With this comes a lot of thoughtful planning and understanding of your needs and personality, and then sourcing and management of how the process will flow until the final reveal.
